Basmati Rice literally means "fragrance" or "Queen of fragrance".
In Pakistan, basmati rice is characterized by extra long, superfine slender grains having a length to breadth ratio of more than 3.5, sweet taste, soft texture, delicate curvature and an extra elongationio with least breadth-wise swelling on cooking.
Basmati Rice does not stick during cooking. It is easily digested; it meets the principles of healthy nutrition, low glycemic index, gluten, and is not genetically modified.
